Understanding how Line Skip FM operates as a promotional station for non-distributed original music

Line Skip FM is a promotional radio station for early-stage, non-distributed music from independent artists. We are not a distribution platform—we showcase tracks before they are released to major streaming services, helping artists build an audience and get feedback from our curator community on Twitch.

Core Rights Rules

You Keep Ownership

Artists retain all rights to their music. Line Skip FM only receives a limited promotional license to stream your track on our station and related channels (Twitch, permission-checked website listening, artist-enabled previews and promotional clips).

This license allows us to promote your music but does not transfer any ownership rights to Line Skip FM or its operators.

Non-Distributed Originals Only

We accept tracks that are not currently available on major streaming platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.) in normal rotation. Our focus is on early-stage, unreleased music that hasn't been widely distributed.

If your track is already released on DSPs, it does not qualify for Line Skip FM rotation. However, it may still be featured in our Breakouts section if it was previously in our rotation.

No Uncleared Samples or Remixes

Remixes, bootlegs, and tracks with uncleared samples are not accepted unless you have explicit permission from the original rights holders.

Supplying cleared recordings supports your rights and the station’s review. If you're unsure whether your track qualifies, please contact us before submitting.

Removal on Request

You can withdraw a specific song from the public library through your artist recording workspace, or contact support if you need help. Public withdrawal, official release destinations and requests to delete account data are separate actions.

What happens when you request removal:

  • The song leaves the public library and its current candidate review closes
  • New public-library playback and preview requests are denied; an existing temporary file link can remain usable until expiry
  • Third-party VODs, clips and externally published release pages are managed through those services
  • Private recording versions, decisions, feedback and audit history remain available to their authorized participants

Checks Before Rotation

Before library publication, the selected song passes these separate checks:

  • Source and reference evidence: saved submission context and any private reference approved by the selecting streamer
  • Exact-version confirmation: the original selecting host listens to the artist’s original or improved mix
  • Separate publication review: a reviewer checks the supplied recording, artist attribution and stated rights before clearing it for the library

Server-computed complete-file hashes can show that a reference and upload are byte-identical, different or unknown. A hash is not proof of song identity or copyright. Commercial audio fingerprinting is not currently connected, and the artist remains responsible for the rights they supply.

What Happens When Your Track Gets Released?

When a previously confirmed and reviewed song receives a wider release, the artist can share its official destination through Breakouts. The artist supplies the release information; we do not automatically detect distributor releases or record deals.

Breakout status means:

  • For the non-distributed catalog policy, withdraw the library recording when its eligibility changes; adding a release link does not automatically withdraw it
  • An artist-published release destination can appear in Breakouts and on the artist’s page
  • The artist chooses and maintains the official external release link
  • The reviewed recording retains its selecting-streamer credit, with a public channel link when that identity remains eligible
  • The track remains part of your success story in your artist timeline

Breakouts preserve a song’s early discovery story and give listeners a route to its next chapter. Recognition does not establish a record deal, payment or guaranteed audience.
